We praise the Lord that we now have reached $1910.00  of the $10,000.00 needed to pay a customs agent and customs taxes on the $250,000.00 plus of goods for Orphans, vulnerable children, widow's children, and village school children. Update on clean water deep Bore Hole

 

The clean water Bore Hole has been dug and now the Orphanage has clean drinking water and bath water. Praise the Lord for his provisions. Thank all of you who gave to this need.

Deep Borehole well for Safe Harbor Baptist Children's Home and Orphanage Nigeria

UPDATE: Please read the entire post, urgent prayer needed. We have on hand $1400 for the digging of the deep Borehole well to have clean drinkable water for Safe Harbor Baptist Children's Home and Orphanage. A peron had committed to giving the balance to make $2,000 to dig the well in January. I received word that they were not going to be able to fulfill their committment. Please pray that the Lord will supply the funds so we can get the well dug. URGENT PRAYER NEEDED FOR THE ORPHANAGE. I received this e-mail from Timothy Ojo last night concerning the Orphanage. Please pray about these needs, Prayer changes things, God in His word said, "Ask and ye shall receive". With 12 children, the house parents and their children it takes a lot of water. We were already buying drinking water as the well water is not safe to drink. The well water was used in washing clothes, baths etc. It has been going dry in the dry season as it is a shallow hand dug well, not the concrete rings have cracked and allowing mud in the water so it is unusable. Please I ask you again Pray and read the whole post.

Meanwhile, I am praying that we will get a lot of blessings come in as we are currently having problem with water in the compound. The well is not producing enough water as it should and we are not getting enough water. Also when it rains, the whole water becomes red and very dirty as mud and dirty water is seeping into the well. I have been praying about digging a bole hole in the compound and I have discussed this with the landlord who agreed that whatever we spend on this will be deducted from our next rent. An average cost for a bole hole is about $2,000. I am trusting God to provide for this need.
Also, I am praying God to provide for the tuitions fees of the children. We have a lot of needs indeed but I believe that our God is abundantly able to provide for all these needs!

Just finished packing for a container to be shipped to nigeria. The Lord has given us $over $250,000.00 worth of goods in this container. Customs and clearing w...ill cost about $30.00 a,square foot. The container has 320 Sq ft of space. We have 5 Sq ft of funds so far. Would you pray about giving 30.00 to ship a Sq ft . There is over $170,000.00 worth of new clothes in this one container. All funds given 100% goes to the shipping.

Mosquito nets

Many have been asking how much it would cost to buy a mosquito net for one of our Children at Safe Harbor Baptist Children's home and orphanage. I inquired from the Orphanage on the cost of buying them in Nigeria and also the condition of the screen on the four house for the children. A net cost $10 for one child and the condition of the screen on the houses is rotten and needs to be replaced. the cost for the 4 houses would be $250.00. With the rainy season upon us and two o...f our children have already had Malaria this year we need to take this protection to help keep Mosquito's out of the house. Malaria is still the number 1 killer of children in Nigeria and for those who survive it leaves them weak for months. Please pray and help us get the Nets and the houses screened. Received word yesterday that two of the boys at Safe Harbor Baptist Children's Home and Orphanage in Nigeria have Malaria and are very sick. Please pray for them. Also this is the beginning of the rainy season and there is an abundance of Mosquito's this year and the Malaria ameba is carried by the Mosquito's. Pray for nets for all the children's beds. I am waiting for a price on purchasing them in Nigeria

REPORT: JUST IN FROM MISSIONARY TIMOTHY OJO FROM THE VILLAGE OF EGBEJODA

Jimmy Ammons Just received these photo's from Timothy Ojo, He went to the village of Egbejoda this past Sunday. We established this church back in 1992. The first service we had in the village 22 souls came to the meeting and 22 were saved. The church has continued to grow and reach out to surrounding villages. We used Bible College student to go there for years and then one of our graduates felt he should go there full time. Joel Abraham served the Lord there for many years and we supported him. Two years ago he accepted the pastorate at another church. God gave another pastor who's name is Joel Adesakin. He is being used of the Lord mightly in the area. The name of the church is Isle Isin Baptist church which means Temple Baptist Church. Now Timothy reported over 100 in attendance on Sunday and SIX SOULS SAVED. AMEN. He mentioned the need for a motorcycle for the ministry. This is a remote area and only accessible by Motorcycle or Truck. Over the years more than 5 motorcycles have been worn out going back and forth to the villages in the area. We need for you to pray that the lord will provide the Motorcycle for the pastor. A new one now cost about $900.00. Here is my prayer, Lord please provide this vital need for Pastor Adesakin to work in the village church. In Jesus Name. NOTE: He cannot afford to buy one himself he served the Lord by faith and is supported only $50.00 a month.

 

 

UPDATE ON SAFE HARBOR NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL IN THE VILLAGE OF ABEHIKEN NIGERIA

Yesterday, work began again on Safe Harbor Baptist Nursery and Primary School in the village of Abehiken, Oyo State Nigeria. We provide free education for over 65 children from surrounding villages who would not have an opportunity to go to school. This is a work by Faith. We need immediately $800.00 to finish the work. If we have to stop and start again it will raise the cost to over $1,000 to finish. This will complete everything but the ceiling. We need 64 sponsors to give $10 a month to provide the education for these children.

 

 

 

 

Daniel and Ruth Arin

This month is the 5th year that Daniel and Ruth Arin (twins) came to Safe Harbor Baptist Children's Home and Orphanage. It is amazing how the Lord has changed their lives. I am posting two pictures of them. the second is when they came and the other was taken two days ago. Pray for them we need more sponsors for them. Daniel and Ruth each have a sponsor for $50 a month. The orphanage needs $150 each to meet all their needs. Pray for more sponsors.
